A New Place to Land

For years, I had a sourdough blog that eventually turned into something more like a personal journal. I enjoyed it, but it never felt completely right. So here I am, finding myself a new place to land.

I’m a 49-year-old artist, wife, and mother living in Florida and loving my life. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to stay home, paint, and enjoy the things I love, and I never take that for granted.

This will be a place to share my art, but it won’t be only about art. I’ll also share home decorating, recipes, personal stories, faith, current events, my thoughts and opinions, and occasionally, even a little sourdough.

Basically, it will be a mishmash of me.

My artwork is much the same way. It can be colorful, strange, serious, funny, whimsical, or a little all over the place. That’s how my brain works, and that’s who I am. I’m not going to hide my personality or pretend I’m not opinionated. People can take me or leave me, and honestly, I feel the same way about my art.

I’m really glad you’re here, though, and I hope you’ll stick around.

As Tori Amos once said, “I know I’m an acquired taste. I’m anchovies. And not everybody wants those hairy little things.”

And if you don’t, it won’t hurt my feelings a bit.
