Abstract Acrylics

These remind me a lot of the work that I used to do five or six years ago. I got really into pallet knife painting and texture painting for a little while. I loved it. This is basically exactly the same thing. I’m just using paper instead of canvas and I think because I’m selling prints -this works. 

Not everybody wants a canvas on the wall. I’ll be honest- I don’t know why, but I don’t particularly like the way a canvas sits on the wall. I much prefer a matted frame and a print, personally. The only way I really love a canvas is if it’s really oversized and braced really well. I think I was just hesitant to try these techniques on paper and fear that it would just rip apart, but they did really well.
