Whoop! Let’s Go!

Last year I gained somewhere between 30 and 40 pounds when I was down with my herniated disc and sciatica. I’ve taken it off and then some. To say I am proud of myself would be an understatement. And yes, I still want to lose more. That will put me in a smaller size than I’ve ever really been as an adult, but I’m not worried about numbers or clothing size. I’m just gonna see how I feel and continue to monitor what my body feels like as I go. This has been since February, so I’ve been very steady and consistent with it. I was already probably 25 to 35 pounds overweight before I hurt my back so I had a lot of ground to gain and this was my target goal - but I’m not done yet!
I always say that I’d rather be 20 pounds overweight than underweight and I really do mean that but at the same time, I’m curious at this age what my body will look like, and I can’t really say for sure. I know I DO NOT wanna lose my butt or my hips (I do love my butt and Gary loves my butt) but at the same time- I would love to see my thighs slim down a little bit more. I really want to see what my body looks like if I continue to lose at a steady but slow pace while continuing to do strength training and core exercises.
I know one thing, It was very cool to see myself hit my initial first goal of 55 lbs. last week. 🙌🏼 Even if I don’t lose another pound - I’m very happy with how I look and feel right now. I suspect that will only get better.
