Cute Surprise

Got some new art supplies today! 🎨 One of the things I found loose in my Amazon bag was this little green leaf-shaped tool. Apparently, it's made for separating watercolor paper from watercolor blocks!

I know I mentioned this in my other blog, but if you're not familiar with watercolor blocks, the sheets are glued together around the edges, with a small opening on one side. This keeps the paper from buckling as much while you're painting, without having to tape it down. Once your painting is completely dry, you slide the little tool into the opening and carefully work your way around the edges to release the top sheet.

I'm not sure whether it came from Baohong or Arches because it doesn't have either company's logo on it. I didn't order it separately, so I guess one of them included a little surprise! Pretty neat! 💚
