Day 5

Well, my phone exploded. 😂 It got really hot earlier, and by the time we got home and let it cool off, it was basically fried. But hey, I REALLY wanted that new iPhone 18 some kind of bad, so I guess this is one way to justify it. LOL

So for now, I’m on my iPad. I hopped on Gary’s Instagram app and added my account so I could at least post my October piece and throw up a few stories. I scrolled for a minute, but I’m spending the rest of the day working on what I actually need to be working on. I can access my Instagram stuff from the iPad, but it kind of sucks this way and posting is a pain. Hopefully I’ll have a new phone by tomorrow, or the next day at the very latest. Gary’s on the phone with them now.

Anyway, here’s my quick little doodle for today. It’s better than nothing. I just didn’t spend much time on it.

I’m actually way more excited about tomorrow’s prompt because it’s much more in my wheelhouse. I think with these kinds of challenges, you do better when you still stick to the things you naturally like to draw and just stretch your ideas from there, instead of trying to go completely off the rails and suddenly make art that doesn’t even feel like yours.

I still want my art to look like my art, no matter what the prompt is.

So tomorrow, even though the prompt is an ogre, it still feels more like my thing. I like drawing pretty women, so I guess I can draw ugly women too. 😂

Anyway, I said I was going to post every day, and I like to do what I say I’m going to do. So here she is.
