Small Win!!

Well, we still don't have internet, but our cell service finally came back! Apparently our local tower has been repaired, so YAY for that! It's still a little slow and spotty, but it's certainly better than nothing. At least we can use our phones without having to drive around looking for service.

We're officially starting to go a little stir-crazy around here. 😂 Honestly, the boredom has been one of the hardest parts. The mosquitoes are absolutely horrific, it's pitch-black dark at night, and there's really nowhere to go because so much is still closed. We can't even have a little fire outside because so many people have their windows open while running generators and window units, and we certainly don't want to smoke out the neighbors. So there's really not a whole lot to do!

We've been painting, drawing, cleaning up the yard, and taking little drives just to get out of the house. My house is spotless at this point, other than the mountain of laundry. I've even got the dishwasher loaded and ready for the glorious return of electricity! 😂

The kids are especially excited to have cell service again. They can finally listen to music, play games, and talk to their friends without us having to drive somewhere to find a signal. It's funny how something so ordinary can suddenly feel like such a luxury.

Hopefully we'll have power back in the next couple of days and can start getting everything back to normal. Despite the boredom and inconveniences, we really have been fortunate, and I know things could be so much worse. Experiences like this certainly make you appreciate all those little things you normally take for granted.
